Sony EX

What Camera & Equipment Will we be Using?

For both stories, we've decided to film with the big Sony EX. This is mainly because the camera is generally the best camera which which we can hire from our university. It is considerably effective in all types of lighting and we won't be needing a small and portable camera for either of our stories.

Apart from this, we will also be using a GoPro, to enable a better perspective for scenes such as showing our reporter buying his ingredients in the supermarket. This will also be used for some scenes where an additional camera may be needed for more coverage e.g. for the interview for the selfie story.

Go Pro
As well as the camera and tripod, we will also be needing lighting gear, mainly for our interview for our selfie story. We aim to get 3 tungsten lighting so that we can use the standard interview set up regime, to get the best quality possible. This however may also be used for our cooking story for the kitchen if need be.

In terms of sound, we will be using clip mics as well as a gun mic. The clip mics will be used for our reporters for both stories, as we've decided to use this instead of a normal microphone as it enables our reporters to use their hands more (instead of holding a mic).
