After setting up a Casting call pro advertisement, I unfortunately received no luck in finding the right talent. I only received one response back however the person who responded lived too far away making it hard to interview the fan, as well as me personally thinking it wouldn't be very effective to use as he didn't quite meet the criteria I was aiming for.

Nonetheless, Kate (a fellow group member) also set up a Facebook status where she fortunately found a great response of fans who are willing to star in our documentary, which are shown below:

Kylie Rae: Girls Aloud Fan

Responding to Kate's Facebook status, Kylie agreed to be in our documentary and we were more than thankful for some of the information she gave us. Firstly, Kylie is late teenager whom is a massive Girls Aloud fan. Her and a friend frequently have 'movie nights' (every other week, sometime every week) where they would watch previous concerts and events which Girls Aloud have played/been to.

Kylie even purposely bought the same phone as Nadine (a member of Girls Aloud) purely because she followed Nadine's lifestyle seriously and liked her that much to buy it. As well as having too many posters, books, concert tickets etc to count, Kylie even remembers Cheryl Cole's voting phone number from when she was in Popstars: The rivals in 2002 - she was even a fan when Cheryl wasn't as famous as she is now!

The list goes on and on, since then which was 12 years ago Kylie has entered into numerous MTV competitions such as 'Meet and Greet' where they would ask questions which would then be answered by the celebrity.

Jake Barret: Lady Gaga Superfan + Female Inspirer

Also a friend of Kates, Jake is a major Lady Gaga super fan, where the stories he suggests keep going on and on. He too is a late teenager however you can argue he is more interesting as he is a male fan of a female singer - something you usually wouldn't expect. Firstly, Jake has a tattoo which he purposely placed on his wrist because Lady Gaga has a similar tattoo which inspired him to get it.

He too has clothing she wears/fan clothing, her DVDs, posters, concert tickets, etc. As well as books and even the perfume which she created (made for females, not males), Jake also attends to concerts oftten by himself, where he would also fight his way to the front of the crowd so he can be that one step closer to his hero.

However what makes him a super fan is that his artwork partially revolves and is based on her. More importantly, Jake even dresses up like Lady Gaga - including having his own wigs so he can even have the same hair as her! He also knows almost all of the music sensation's dance moves - which when looking at Lady Gaga there are a lot she can do.

Nonetheless, Jake generally has a passion for female music artists. He too is also a massive fan of Miley Cyrus and Lana Del Ray, where he has many fan products and stories of the two female artists. He has tattoo lyrics on his wrist which come from one of Lana Del Ray's songs.

Conclusion

To conclude, my group and I have luckily found two strong and reliable characters which we can use for our documentary. Jake is generally a stronger character as when looking at him he seems to be a bigger fan due to him having more than one hero, and generally him looking like he has a stronger and more entertaining personality, thus making the documentary more effective. Additionally, we could even just focus the documentary just on Jake - instead of focusing on two characters we could use him to talk about all of his female heroes, and how it is unusual (yet interesting) for a male to have female inspirers instead of having the usual males.

Kylie however too is very strong and we have decided to use Jake and herself for our documentary. The only problems which we may have is whether our characters are generally telling the truth and that they are not trying to force and lie about some of their stories. This we can't tell whether they will or not yet, but once we meet are two super fans it is more likely to find out from their personality.

Now that we have picked two super fans, we can begin to go further with our documentary. We haven't decided whether to have 3 fans or not yet to make our documentary seem even more stronger (seeing as we have found more examples), nonetheless we can begin by meeting our characters and generally just have a talk as to whether they are 100% confident for being in our documentary, and more importantly whether they are as much of a super fan as they say that they are.
