Whats The Update?

After sending Angela how I wanted the poem to narrate, Angela got back to me and sent me a few copies of her narrating. All in all the narration was pretty good - she took in each steps for each line on how I wanted it narrated very well as throughout the narration you can sense her mixed emotions of her being angry, sad and so on.

However, there was a problem with the soundtrack. There is quite a lot of noise in the background which gives the soundtrack a sort of muffle sound which is annoying. This could be because it was sent online or probably from the audio hardware she was using to record the audio (as she is an actor, I didn't expect her to have professional equipment for sound). This is a bit of a problem however I will aim to work around it to remove the background noise, as it would be a bit of trouble if she had to come down for a day to shoot the audio (she lives around a 2 hour odd drive away!).

Nonetheless, I gave her feedback which you can see below and asked her to try again and try to remove the background noise by filming in either a quieter room or use different hard/software to reduce this noise.

Just incase Angela is unable to send me a better quality audio of her narrating, I sent out a casting call pro advert asking for a female narrator, as you can see below. It includes my blog post on how I wanted it narrated as well as links to my first edit and my blog.

Within a day, I somehow got 14 applicants which I didn't expect! I sent them all an email asking them if they had any questions and then asked them to send me a piece of their work so I can assess them. Below are my 14 applicants (to date):

Update on Angela

A day after her first draft, Angela then sent me another draft which has much better quality, as originally she recorded it on her computer. This is good news as this can be used for my film, however I will continue to ask my applicants for them to send me their work to see which one I think is best.
