Who are my Actors?

Now that I have interviewed and spoke to all my applicants (Luke, Angela H, Angela D and Marcus) I''ve come to the decision as to who I am going to use, which you can see below:

Female Character (Character & Narrator): Angela Harvey

I've decided to choose Angela Harvey for my female character. This is mainly because her showreel impressed me the most and she seemed very determined and interested in my film, as she mentioned that she enjoys world war 1 adaptations. She also even has the outfit which I need for my film which is a bonus! She is able to get to the locations which I plan to film at and is available for all the dates on which I plan to film at. Therefore, I am looking forward to filming with Angela.

Male Character: Marcus Massey

For the male character, I've decided to choose Marcus for the male character. It is very clear that he suits the part as he has had lots of acting experience before hand, as well as suiting the right criteria which I need for my male character. He too showed lots of motivation and interest into my work and is available to work on the dates and locations which I have set.

Location Update

Where Am I Filming For My 'Dark Room' Scenes?

The Commissioners House
I've come across a location for the dark room scene. This will be filmed in the Comissoner's House, located at the Historic Dockyard (where one of my locations already are). As I work at the Historic

Dockyard, I will be granted permission to film in this old 18th century building. The reasons why I've chosen this building is mainly because of its authenticity and the fact that it has a small room with a large table - perfect for my poet scene.

The room and table where I will be filming,
however of course it will be altered
to fit for my film.
I also worked out that the room itself doesn't have to be as dark as I plan it to be. This is because I can use editing software to make the room look dark. Therefore, I now don't have to worry about the time of day as much for this scene. The room I aim to film in also has curtains therefore making the room slightly darker.

As well as this, I've also decided to now add some candles for props: this will naturally light up the area for the dark room as well as adding deeper emotions for the dark room scene. It also is relevant for the time era (1910s) and general suits the scene, as the poet wouldn't be sitting in darkness.

Location Shots

Today I also went out and took pictures of where I will be filming. Unfortunately I only had a short time to take pictures which was at around half 3, therefore some images have been disrupted due to it getting dark. You can see the images of the locations which I took below:

BlueBell Hill, Viewpoint (Scenes 1,  5 and 7)

This bench could be used for

Rochester: High Street & Castle Grounds (Scenes 3 and 6)

Historic Dockyard: Memorial & Commissioner's House (Scenes 2, 4 and 8)

The War Memorial, for my final scene (8)
