Heartbeat
Initially, I wanted to include a heartbeat to help to reinforce the intensity of my final climax. To do this I needed a heartbeat sound effect (which luckily Final Cut Pro already had) where you could hear a heartbeat every time a clip changed. This at first was tricky as it meant I had to change the clip every time you would hear a normal heartbeat, meaning that the clips would change quite frequently. So, I made the clips the right length (all around 1 to 1 and a half seconds) then added the heartbeat sound effect over the top.
Additionally, I also added the 'Fade to Colour' transition every time you could hear the heartbeat, mainly to create an emphasis.

I even tried adding a speed ramp but this too didn't work, as it made the heartbeat still way too slow to use.
So after experimenting different ways to try and do this, I came to the conclusion that it was far too complex to use my basic editing skills to do this (even though Im sure there is a way to do it which isn't too difficult). Therefore, i decided to go and do the easy option - by using our user-friendly social site 'YouTube'. I simply typed in 'Heartbeat Effect - Normal to Slow' and voila - there was a copyrighted clip I could use. So after downloading this, I added it to the closing section of my trailer (as shown below) which worked perfectly as you can hear the heartbeat slowly fading out thus hinting towards the death of Tay.

To conclude, I feel that my trailer only needs minor tweaking until it is finished. I feel that both visual and audio effects I have used all help to convey a meaning - I only used them if I thought that it was actually needed in my trailer. Nevertheless, I feel that I could improve the standards of my trailer if I had more general experience with FCP, as this is only my first time using it!
