Similar to my Visual checklist, I also created an audio checklist. This includes essential audio clips (excluding soundtracks, which I talk about in my 'Trailer Research: Soundtracks' post) as well as any additional clips which I feel may be useful for my trailer, as well as being a back-up incase I decide to change which audio I use in my trailer. Additionally, I found that analysing 'Kidulthood' and 'Top Boy' helped me a lot with my audio, as it gave me an insight into how gang members etc talk, as well as the slang they use.
Audio Checklist
G: “Yo kid, what you saying?”
Joe: “Leave me alone”
G: “Leave you alone are you dumb? We aint
gonna attack you or anything, no need to be scared”
Joe: “Scared? Why would I be scared? Grow
up”
G: “Grow up? Who do you think youre talking
to? Respect your olders”
Blaine: “Oi look its that kid!”
G/Blaine: “Yo dickhead! Well look who it
aint!”
G/Blaine: “Aint so cocky now are ya!”
Joe: “Tay do something!”
Joe: “You’re my brother man help me!”
Tay: “he’s my fucking brother bruv are you
dumb?”
Andy: “What? he’s your brother?”
Andy: “Tay?”
G: “don’t fuck with me!”
Firstly I thought this would be too much audio for my trailer, as I was primarily going to use just a soundtrack with some vital voice overs, however I feel it is important to have more than enough audio as, like I said, incase I wanted to change my trailer.
