Introduction
Now that Kate and I have conformation on all of our shoot dates, I've decided to update the shot list and allocate every scene to match which date that they will be filmed on, helping to maintain organisation. As well as this, we got together to run through the shot list, in which Kate directed the shots and organised how they'll be directed by briefly drawing the set up for each scene. This has led to some of the shot sizes/types to change as it proved difficult for some shots to work.
As well as this, because we are using 2 cameras for the majority of the shoot, Kate and I decided to add in a shot list for the secondary camera, allowing our secondary camera operator to learn the style and ideas for when we begin filming.
Below is the entire shot list organised to match which scenes will be filmed on which day:
Day 1
Day 1 Shot List
Day 2
Day 3
Day 4
Day 5
Day 6
Conclusion
Overall, allocating the shot list so that each scene is organised for the day of shoot will hopefully be very time-consuming on our shoot dates. Additionally, adding in the secondary camera helps to visualise each shot much easier as well, plus Kate drawing out each set-up for each shot provides a much clearer image on how to set everything up. It is likely some of these shots will change on the shoot days due to some of them focusing on actuality, however it is very beneficial to plan as much as you can before you reach the shoot dates.
