What Camera Equipment Will I Be Using?

Wednesday 12th November

Canon 700D
For the first shooting date, I will be using the Canon 700D. This is because I feel this camera is very good in terms of filming in brighter lighting, as well as it generally having a nice quality as the camera is good with colour saturation. This will enable me to be able to edit more efficiently if the quality is better, as well as making it more effective when i add a black and white tone for my
flashbacks as there's a better saturation. I will also be using a tripod to enable me to film my still shots.

Tuesday 18th November

Sony PMW
However for this date, I will be using the Sony PMW. This is mainly because I will be filming in a dark location, which the Canon isn't very good with low lighting. Therefore, I will be using the PMW as it works reasonably well in low lighting. At first, I thought it may be a bit of a problem if I use different cameras for a shoot. This is mainly because you may be able to see the different use of cameras in my film, as the Sony and Canon vary from each other. However, my second date of shooting only involves a couple of scenes where one of them is in darkness, therefore it'll be difficult to see a difference.

I will be using a rhode clip on mic for both shooting dates. This will allow me to have some sound footage incase I need any. Additionally, if I decide to add any dialogue at the time then this will come in handy.

I won't be using any artificial lighting for both dates, therefore will not need to bring any lighting gear.
