Likewise in all types of film, commentary is essential as it makes it clearer on what exactly is happening in the film. This is more essential for documentary therefore we are making sure that we include commentary.

Our general viewpoint with the commentary was to make sure that we aren't too forceful in terms of information. We aim to make it as if Jake is telling us all of his information, and not the other way round e.g. us asking Jake questions.

Additionally, we are sticking with our idea of using a young girl narrator - this is mainly because it suits the target audience as well as generally creating an inviting feel for our documentary. As well as this, because we are focusing on the BBC 3 channel, we have decided to use a more informal tone, however not too informal otherwise it may depict the quality of our film. This adds to the inviting tone which is essential otherwise the audience may feel uncomfortable thus not engaging as much with the documentary as they could.

Below is the commentary which we used. We had to find out how large the gap is for our commentary incase the narration is too short or too long.
