Commissions Unit: Idea Preparation

So after understanding and doing some research on BBC three, it is now time to try and find and plan the story and situation for 'My hero'. I initially began thinking on how I could find this story, so below are a few ideas on how I could find one:

     - Personal experience; anything I've done which is heroic

     - Friends and family, friends of friends etc

     - Local newspaper - anyone who lives locally who has been heroic whom is willing to allow me to 

       use his story. However, this isn't a promising idea as it will be difficult to find the story and the        

       people in the story, unless we ask the newspaper directly if they can share any details and 

       information.

     - Online stories - through social networking sites such as Facebook, blogger, any online diaries, etc.

After asking a variety of friend and family members, I haven't quite found a story which doesn't feel as heroic and effective as I plan to have. This counts for personal memories as well.

So I then decided to post on social networking sites to see if anyone whom I know has an interesting enough story to share with me, below you can see what I posted on Facebook:

As well as this, my group and I are also planning to make a poster to try and find ideas at our university (University of Creative Arts, UCA, Rochester). 

So far we haven't had much luck, however it is still quite early in the preparation stages as we have only been preparing for around 3 days, so hopefully after searching long enough we can find a story we all agree on.
