For my sound design in general, I aiming to aim for a minimalistic approach - having as little sound effects as possible. This is because I would prefer to create a more naturalistic mood for my audience so that it feels more realistic. Such approach therefore means that my film must mainly only conform of sounds coming from the film itself, and which the microphone records.

Nonetheless, to reinforce this idea of freedom, I have decided to use a soundtrack to end my film. This soundtrack must be remotely positive and energetic - perhaps a song ranging in the dance or electronic genre to show how my character has now changed and is free from school.

The song I have decided to choose is 'Sub Focus - Could This Be Real'. This is because I feel that it will suit my film well as it is quite energetic and motivating, as well as the fact it is also quite parallel with my film as my main character may not believe that the results he got are 'real', thus relating to the song lyrics. Although this will only play at the end of my film, the intro to the song is which I like the best - the uplifting use of the piano which gradually becomes louder and louder, then leading towards the lyrics. Below is a link of the song on YouTube:

Therefore, there must be a juxtaposition of a naturalistic and minimal sound design against the uplifting and electronic use of a dance soundtrack.
